There are many other points which could be brought
up in this comparison, however. Such prophesies include Daniel
2 which history has shown us to have been fulfilled only by the
Islamic nation. For those readers who would like to read more
on these matters, I recommend the books:
I shall leave it up to the interested reader to study
Islam, Muhammad, and the Qur'an, and arrive at their own conclusion
with regard to Muhammad (pbuh) having fulfilled all of the requirements
of the coming "Second Messiah"/"Paraclete"/Prophet.
It is not at all uncommon in the West for people
to be known by two names. For examples, a man called William would
be called "Bill" by his friends, Robert would be called
"Bob"...etc. In a similar manner, Muhammad (pbuh) was
known by two names: "Muhammad" and "Ahmed."
I mention this to clarify the following verse:
"And when Jesus son of Mary said: O Children of Israel! verily! I am the messenger of Allah unto you, confirming that which was (revealed) before me in the Torah, and bringing good tidings of a messenger who cometh after me, whose name is Ahmed(the praised one). But when he came to them with clear proofs, they said: This is clearly magic"
The noble Qur'an, Al-Saf(61):6
It is one thing for someone to make a clever play
on words and twist their meaning to suite his fancied desire so
that they would refer to Muhammad (pbuh). It would be much harder
to do so with more than ten. These verses lend themselves so easily
to Muhammad (pbuh) without having to resort to abstraction and
applying them to the Holy Ghost or other supernatural meanings,
or to combining three prophesies into only two.
"Then We sent our messengers in succession. Whenever there came to a nation their messenger they called him a liar; so We caused them to follow one another (in destruction) and We made them tales (told to others). So away with a people who will not believe!"
The noble Qur'an, Al-Muminoon(23):44.
"Alas for (My) servants! There comes not a messenger unto them but they ridicule him."
The noble Qur'an, Ya-seen(36):30.
